EDU 595

Well, if anyone in my class is reading this. I just realized that responding to my blog is not the same as posting to it. Did anyone else in class make the same mistake?

Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus

Well, we are having my mom tested by a neurologist. We are praying that she is diagnosed with NPH. She is probably not healthy enough for a brain shunt, but I understand there is other treatment. I have read about people who are diagnosed with Alzheimer's or other types of dementia, who actually had NPH, so when they were treated for the correct illness, their health improved. Does anyone have any experience with NPH, dementia, or Alzheimer's?

Demons or Dementia as it relates to Alzheimers

My mother is in her early 70's and has started forgetting how to do normal everyday things. She will seem normal for several days, then suddenly begins to slurs her words, shuffle her feet, lose her balance and can't remember what she is doing, or even trying to say. When she is confused, she becomes very angry. Mom was diagnosed with pernicious anemia when she was in her thirties and has taken B-12 injections twice each week ever since then. Is there a relationship between this type of anemia and Alzheimer's?
